👁️ GERF® FULL FACE CRYOGENIC PROTECTION FACE SHIELD
Full-Face Protection for Work with Cryogenic Liquids | Polycarbonate · CE Cat. II · EN ISO 16321-1:2022

🛡️ Product Features

  • Wrap-around closed-design face shield — engineered to cover from forehead to chin and the sides of the face, including the jaw and chin area, preventing cryogenic liquid from accumulating in skin folds or entering from lateral angles
  • 1 mm injection-molded polycarbonate clear shield — shaped to hug your chest and the sides of your face for maximum coverage, with optical-grade clarity that maintains full visual acuity during critical operations
  • Polycarbonate: the ideal material for cryogenic environments — does not become brittle under extreme cold, absorbs physical impacts, and resists direct splashes without cracking or losing transparency
  • 🔵 Includes polycarbonate safety glasses — worn under the face shield for double-layer eye protection against splashes and impact. The face shield stops the main cryogenic jet or splash, while the glasses protect your eyes from droplets that may bounce back or enter from the sides — safeguarding sensitive areas including eyes and eyelashes
  • Superior combined protection — the combination of a face shield + polycarbonate lenses is the recognized safety standard for handling liquid nitrogen and other cryogenic gases. Two independent barriers between your face and the hazard
  • Pivoting design — shield pivots up and out of the way when your task is done, without removing the headgear
  • 2-way adjustable padded headgear — ratchet band in the back and pin-and-lock system over the top for a secure, comfortable fit
  • Lightweight construction — designed for extended use without fatigue
  • Impact resistant — polycarbonate shield withstands mechanical impact

✅ Why GERF® Face Shield for Cryogenic Risk?

  • EU Type-Examination Certified — Certificate CE-PC-240801-353-07-9A · valid until 2030
  • 🛡️ EN ISO 16321-1:2022 compliant — international standard for occupational eye and face protection
  • 👁️ Double-layer eye protection — the industry standard — polycarbonate face shield + included polycarbonate safety glasses. This combination is the best defense and recognized safety standard for handling liquid nitrogen and other cryogenic gases
  • 🔬 Critical protection for sensitive areas — eyes and eyelashes are among the most vulnerable zones in cryogenic splash events. The dual-barrier system ensures no droplet reaches them, whether from a direct jet or a lateral rebound
  • 🔧 Wrap-around design for superior coverage — covers from forehead to chin and the sides of the face, preventing liquid from accumulating in skin folds and eliminating lateral exposure gaps
  • 💎 1 mm optical-grade polycarbonate visor — maintains crystal-clear visibility while resisting impact and cryogenic splash without becoming brittle in extreme cold
  • 🔧 Ergonomic pivoting design — raises out of the way without removing headgear, improving workflow efficiency
  • 🤝 Designed for use with GERF® kits — included in all GERF® Cryogenic Safety Kits as part of a complete PPE system
